F-10 standard

The smallest of the Fairbanks line, this model harks back to the 1920s, when archtops were being reintroduced as flattops. With a lower bout width of 13-3/4”, its X braced top nevertheless pumps out volume rivaling its bigger brothers.

This is the model shown in that ubiquitous shot of Robert Johnson in the photo booth, so if you want to catch some of that mojo or just have a comfy couch picker, the Fairbanks F-10 is the perfect choice.

F-10 Nick Lucas

A deep bodied F-10 with all the trimmings, the namesake of the ‘Crooning Troubadour’ Nick Lucas. Mr. Lucas was a hugely popular performer in the first half of the 20th century (he was the first to record Tiptoe Through the Tulips- decades prior to Tiny Tim’s horror version) and had several namesake models built for him. They all shared the same deep body, fancy fingerboard inlay, and multiple body bindings.

Many were made with curly Michigan maple and bursted, while others were done in mahogany and painted satin black, Mr. Lucas’ preferred finish.
